Read MoreKevin Power is a novelist and critic. He graduated from University College Dublin with a PhD in American Literature in 2013. His first novel, BAD DAY IN BLACKROCK, was published in 2008 and was filmed as WHAT RICHARD DID (2012), directed by Lenny Abrahamson and produced by Element Films. In 2008 Kevin won the Hennessy XO Award for Emerging Fiction and in 2009 he won the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature. From 2014 to 2016 Kevin was Creative Writing Fellow at St Patrick’s College, Drumcondra; in 2017-18 he was Assistant Professor in the School of English, Dublin City University. He is now Assistant Professor of Literary Practice in the School of English, Trinity College Dublin. He writes regularly for various venues including The Sunday Business Post, The Dublin Review, Literary Review, Los Angeles Review of Books, and The Dublin Review of Books.
