Mark O’Rowe

Mark O’Rowe is a playwright and screenwriter.

His plays include FROM BOTH HIPS (Fishamble Theatre Company, 1997), HOWIE THE ROOKIE (Bush Theatre, 1999), MADE IN CHINA (Peacock Theatre, 2001), CRESTFALLL (Gate Theatre, 2003), TERMINUS (Peacock Theatre, 2007), OUR FEW AND EVILL DAYS (Abbey Theatre, 2014), and THE APPROACH (Landmark Theatre Company, 2018).

He has also adapted several works including Ibsen’s HEDDA GABLER (Abbey Theatre, 2015), and DRUIDSHAKESPEARE, an amalgamation of four of Shakespeare’s history plays (Druid Theatre Company, 2015).

His screenplays include INTERMISSION (2003), BOY A (2007), PERRIER’S BOUNTY (2009), BROKEN (2012), and THE DELINQUENT SEASON (2018), which he also directed.

Most recently he wrote the Sky television series TEMPLE.
