Ruth Coady

Ruth has been working in film and television production for the past twenty years , the last ten producing, developing and securing finance for scripted content.

In her early career after graduating from DIT with a BSc in Communications, Ruth spent time working in Australia on a range of productions from commercials and domestic television to large scale critically acclaimed event television including The Pacific (HBO).

On returning to Dublin in 2008 Ruth joined Parallel Films and shortly afterward moved to their UK office to focus on both domestic and international partnerships across a range of partners, financiers and creative talent.

Ruth’s wide ranging network of contacts and experience has produced successful partnerships and co productions on projects in Ireland, the UK, Australia, Canada and many European countries.

Most recently Ruth Executive Produced DARKLANDS for Virgin Media UK & Ireland with Fremantle, which was Virgin’s highest rating drama to date, breaking records across percentage shares and viewing figures.

Other projects Ruth has produced include MARY SHELLEY starring Elle Fanning, directed by Haifaa Al Mansour, THE DELINQUENT SEASON starring Cillian Murphy and Andrew Scott written and directed by Mark O Rowe, and co-produced THE SIEGE OF JADOTVILLE for Netflix starring Jamie Dornan.

Currently co-producing MY SALINGER YEAR by Oscar nominated director Philippe Falardeau, starring Sigourney Weaver and Margaret Qualley, Ruth is also in development with a variety of partners, including projects with ITV Studios, BBC, Sky and Sky Vision.
